Jackie “Jack” I. Busbey, 61, of Van Wert, Ohio died at 1:42 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Kindred Hospital at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born August 13, 1957 in Kennett, Missouri to the late James Edward and Leona (Gribble) Busbey. Jack had attended Wayne Trace High School and worked at Mercer Landmark in Middle Point, Ohio.

He enjoyed coaching and supporting his family with youth sports. Jack also enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with his many cousins when he had the opportunity. He had nothing but positive experiences with all of them throughout the years.

Most of all, Jack loved, enjoyed, cherished and took advantage of every moment and opportunity he had to spend with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by two children, Amanda Perdue of Belpre, Ohio and Brandon (Stephanie DeBerry) Busbey of Davisville, West Virginia; a brother, James Edward Busbey, Jr. of Ft Wayne, Indiana; sisters, Judy (Mike) Snyder of Harlan, Indiana, Jarris (Alan) Huck of Worden, Montana, and Jawonia Chrisman of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Samuel Perdue, Jackson Perdue, Dennis DeBerry, Cydne DeBerry, and Silas Busbey; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses or to the Grover Hill Parks Association for youth sports. Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online Condolences may be expressed atwww.
