MCFARLAND-Jackie L. “Jack” Gasner, age 82, of McFarland, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on May 24, 1936, in Sauk City, the son of Virgil and Lorna (Hosig) Gasner.

He married Phyllis Schutte on Jan. 5, 1956. Jack worked as a painter for Decorating Unlimited.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Jack was always the life of the party and could make people laugh right up to the end. He was a very kind and gentle man.

Jack is survived by… Read More » his granddaughter, Kristin (Jason ) Soderling; great-granddaughters, Kylee and Sadie Soderling; son, Tim Gasner; daughter, Lou Ann (James) Kilgore; granddaughter, Briona Dunbar; great-grandson, Caedyn Dunbar; grandsons, Scott (Danelle) Mack and Nathan (Molly) Mack; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Myles Mack; sisters in law, Lois Week and Angila Hosig; many nieces and nephews, and his good friend, Steve. He was preceded in death by his wife; and parents. Funeral Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Thursday Dec.

20, 2018. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday.
