Mrs. Dillon was born on September 12, 1946 to Clifford Eugene and Callie Frances Young in Cullen, LA and passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at her home in Shongaloo, LA. On this special day, she joined her husband, Jerry Thomas Dillon; son, Larry Wayne Dillon; her parents; brother, Dan Eugene Young; sisters, Jewel Dean Nolte, Juanita Bagwell, Shirley Jester, Earline Gray Young and good family friend, Peggy Emerson. However on this sad day she left behind her loving children, Sherry Hauser and husband, Richard of Homer, LA, Jerry Scott Dillon of Shongaloo; four grandchildren, Brittany Hauser of Bismarck ND, Cameron Hauser of Sarepta, Skye Dillon of Minden, and Trinity Knighton Dillon of Shreveport.

Other surviving family include nieces, Sissy Morris and husband, Gean of Arkadelphia, AR, Linda Robinson and husband, Bruce; nephew, Eddie Robinson and wife, Lori of Stamps, AR; sister-in-law, Patty King of Springhill; and a very long list of other family and friends. Jackie was a native of Springhill and a resident of Shongaloo. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was an all around hard worker having worked numerous jobs over the years including the Glove Factory, Band Aid Factory, Between the Creeks and Dock Masters. She was not rich in money but was in family and friends. Everywhere she went she established some special friendships in a short time.

During her life, Jackie loved to fish and camp and “playing in the garden” as she would say. Jackie never got to travel and see much in this old world or lifetime, but the one great place Jackie was destined to see is out of this world. Everyone who knew Jackie admired her unique character and free spirited personality.

She would tell you exactly how she felt and saw it. She did not sugar coat anything and that is what made all who knew her love her even more. She was one that will not be forgotten in our lifetime to say the least.

Her life was well lived. She also enjoyed woodworking, watching her birds, squirrels, and hummingbirds at the feeders. Sign our online guest book at www.
