Greenfield—Jacqueline A. (McGuire) Petrin, 65, of Silver Street passed away at home on June 24, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1952 in Montague, the daughter of Roy and Lena (Barry) McGuire. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1970 and attended Greenfield Community College.

Jackie spent her career working in schools, helping to shape the lives of countless children, at First Church Nursery School, Four Corners, and Newton Schools in Greenfield. She was a board member of Franklin County Hockey Association, serving as Treasurer for many years, and volunteered in the gift shop at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Jackie loved spending time with her family, whether it be at home for Sunday dinner, gathered around the campfire at Wakeda, or on the beach.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting and baking. Among her survivors, Jackie leaves her husband of 46 years, Laurence Petrin; three children, Michael Petrin and his wife Shannon of Deerfield, Timothy Petrin and his partner Kori Ferris of Greenfield, and Katherine Petrin of Quincy; and four grandchildren, Anna, William, Jacob, and Jackson. Funeral services will be held Thursday 6/28 at 9:15am from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, 133 Main Street, Greenfield.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the David M. Petrin Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o People’s United Bank, 45 Federal St, Greenfield, MA 01301.
