MIDDLETON-Jacqueline Belle Ross passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018, at UW Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 6, 1934, to James Hoy and Ruth Vera Beveridge. She grew up in Somonauk, Ill.

, where the church her family helped found still stands. Jacquie enjoyed a simple and happy childhood on the family farm. She grew up in a close-knit and religious family that instilled a strong faith and values that carried her throughout her life.

Her close relationship with her… Read More » brother, James continued throughout their lives and was very important to her. She married Roger Lee Ross in 1960, and they started their family in Wheaton, Ill. , where they had three children.

They moved to West Chicago, Ill. , where they lived for ten years before finally settling in Middleton. The most important things in her life were her family, her faith, and her friends.

Through these she demonstrated her love, devotion and kindness. Jacquie was soft spoken, sweet and thoughtful. She was extremely close to all three of her kids, Lynn, Jim and John, and her daughter-in-law, Heidi.

Jacquie often said how lucky she felt to have all of her kids living close to her so she could be a part of their lives, but in truth we were the lucky ones. Equally important to her were her grandkids, Jacob, Carley and Emily, along with her granddog, Wrigley. She often reminisced of having her grandkids over for sleepovers, Sunday brunches, and vacations with family and friends.

Her professional life included teaching preschool, medical transcription, and a long career/work family at Dr. Rogerson’s office. In each of these phases of her life she made many close friends, resulting in a very fulfilling social life. Jacquie is survived by her kids, Lynn, Jim and John (Heidi); grandkids, Jacob, Carley and Emily; brother, James (Ede) Beveridge of Mesa, Ariz.

; her two nieces, Jamie (Darcy) Swaim of Colorado Springs, Colo. , and Jonna (Joe) Copalman of Mesa, Ariz. ; dear cousins, Mary Beveridge and Nancy (Frank) Beardsley; as well as many other wonderful friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, James; her mother, Ruth; and husband, Roger. Funeral services will be held at COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 326 S. Segoe Rd. , Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, with the Rev.

Charles Berthoud presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. A private burial will be held at a later date.
