Winsted: Jacqueline “Jackie” Barnum, 89, wife of the late Frank C. Barnum passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, following a brief illness. Born September 1, 1929, in Jamaica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Xavier and Catherine (McCarthy) Lemelin. Jackie had lived most of her life in Winsted, had attended local schools and worked at various factories, during her working career, retiring from Mark Industries.

Jackie never drove, but enjoyed her daily walks around town and meeting up with people. She was a Word Search enthusiast, always had lovely flower gardens outside her homes, liked listening to music, adored Elvis Presley and faithfully followed the UCONN basketball games. Her survivors include her three children, Joyce Bianchini of CA, Barbara Skilton (Jay) of Winsted, and Frank Barnum, Jr. of Torrington; a Brother, John Lemelin of CA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Francis Lemelin. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.
