Obituary for Jacqueline Nell Scruggs Jacqueline Nell Sanderson Scruggs Jackie Scruggs, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2018 in Newnan Georgia. Jackie was born on October 22nd, 1938 in Stewart County Tennessee to Ethylene and Noble Sanderson. She is preceded in death by her brother, Randy Sanderson.

Jackie’s innate ability to find ways to help others served her well as an RN, a profession she never completely retired from. She was a staunchly devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, reading, and was a personal cheerleader to her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

On weekends and evenings, Jackie could be found on the sidelines of her children and grandchildren’s sporting events encouraging them while questioning the intentions of the unfortunate officials. Jackie had an uncommon ability to see beauty in the imperfections of others and was unfailingly gracious to those fortunate enough to be loved by her. She will be dearly missed.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, David Lee (Tony) Scruggs; her children, Kelley Scruggs, David Scruggs, Neely Scruggs; Daughter-in -law, Liz Scruggs; Future Son-in-law, Justin Mulliniks; grandchildren Tony Scruggs, Riley Scruggs, Brandon Scruggs, Andie Scruggs, Emersyn Mulliniks, and Aiden Mulliniks. A memorial service celebrating Jackie’s life will be held Friday, December 7th at 6:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan with Rev. Jimmy Orr officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Jackie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
