Jake Eugene Highfield, age 28 of Gaylesville, passed away Friday, February 8th at his residence. Funeral services will be 3PM Monday, February 11th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Hawkins and Jeremy Deaton officiating, burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3PM Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Jacob Crump, Brian Penland, Jason Black, Pat Hunter, Andrew Hairrell, Michael Newman. Survivors include parents, Gerald and Kay Highfield and the late Jaka Ann Nix Highfield; sisters, Misty Highfield of Gaylesville, Sara Highfield of Leesburg; life partner, Jason Black; grandparents, Robert Highfield of Snyder, TX, Shorty and Jackie Nix of Snyder, TX; nieces & nephews, Farra Walker, Charli Highfield, Patrick Jake Newman.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vina Mae Highfield. Mr. Highfield was a native of Cherokee County, was a nurse at Jacksonville Healthcare and was of the Baptist faith. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jake Highfield please visit our Sympathy Store.
