Mary Jean Garner age 82 of Centre passed away Friday March 22nd at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center. Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday March 24th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb, Greg Atchley and Jason Garner officiating, burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Gordon Atchley, Greg Atchley, Jason Garner, Steve Garner, Mike Garmon, Terry Hawkins, Johnny Pollard and Richie Pollard. Survivors include sons, Tim (Kathy) Garner of Rome, Ga. and David Garner of Centre; sister, Nancy Pollard of Centre; grandchildren, Jason (Allie) Garner, Kadi (Jason) Sisson and Ashleigh Garner; great-grandchildren, Joshua Sisson, Anna Lynn Garner, Timothy Garner, Abigail Garner, Taylor Hill, Ava Garner and Ali Garner; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband H.L. Garner. Mrs. Garner was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Jim Cisero and Hazel Sewell Strawn and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer UMC.
