Connie Snead Grimes, age 65 of Centre, passed away Saturday, March 9th at her residence. Funeral services will be 3:PM Monday, March 11th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Cosby officiating; burial will follow in Hebron cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Monday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Terry Lee Barnes, Matthew Twilley, Todd Dean, Chris Burleson, Brad Hunter, Charles Snead. Survivors include her son, Matthew (Sylvia) McKinney of Cedar Bluff; sister, Cam Sanchez of Cedar Bluff; grandson, Marcus McKinney; nephew, Charles L. Snead II; niece, Caridean L. Snead Bates; 2 great nephews; 2 great nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Snead. Mrs. Grimes was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Darnold Hugh and Geraldine Richardson Snead, was a security guard, a 1971 graduate of Cedar Bluff High School and a 1977 graduate of JSU with a degree in education, and was a member of Cedar Bluff 1st Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff 1st Baptist youth or the family will accept flowers.
