Obituary for James A. Borders James A. Borders passed away at the age of 83 on Nov. 30, 2018. He served his country for two years in the US Army, followed by five years of government service at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico where he was an early pioneer in the Guided Missile field.

He moved to Orlando in 1962 to work for the Martin Company, which later became Lockheed Martin Corporation. While working, he attended Rollins College earning both a BA and MBA. Jim retired in 2002 as the Director of Contracts after a distinguished career of 39 years.

His retirement was spent at the beach and in the mountains playing tennis, and traveling the world with his beloved wife Sandy of 61 years. He is survived by his wife Sandy, son Mark Borders & wife Gwyn, daughter Elizabeth Franklin & husband Brad, grandson Scott Borders & wife Patricia, granddaughter Jessica Chahal & husband Mo, grandsons Eric Borders and Greg Franklin, brother Bob Borders, brother Joe Borders & wife Lyn, and sister June Daly & husband Bob.
