OBITUARY James A. (Jim) KONOMOS December 17, 1929 – December 28, 2018 James A. (Jim) Konomos, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away, December 28, 2018 at his home. Jim was born on December 17, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Anthony Demetrios and Marie (Rothwell) Konomos.

Jim graduated from North Kansas City High School. Where he was the quarterback for the Hornets. He then joined the military and was a Marine and served with the 5th Marines in Korea.

Following his Military service he returned home and married Esther Metaxas. They worked together in the family dry cleaning business, Konomos and Sons. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Esther of 66 years, son, Tony Konomos, two grandchildren, Jay (Jennie) and Nikki Konomos, and three great grandchildren, Lila, Maggie and Rosie Konomos. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. A Visitation and Trisagion Service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 10 – 11 am with the Funeral to follow at 11 am at Mt.

Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
