James “Al” Winchester, born May 6, 1954, passed away October 20, 2018. Cherished father of Nickayla Winchester, Jamee (Brian) Nelson, and Jodie (Nicholas) Graham, beloved son of Virginia Winchester and the late Fred Winchester, dear grandfather of Nyckala, Lilee, Titus, Miles, and Conrad, loving brother of Randy Winchester, the late Danny Winchester, and the late Brenda (Bill) Shepherd, uncle of Missy, Jeri, Chris, Dan, Dale, Shane, and Gage, and survived by many cousins and dear friends. Al was part owner of Tele-Vac Environmental with Larry McCauley, working hard to Service Municipalities, Energy Providers, and Contractors for over 25 years in multiple states.

Al and Larry were able to build a very successful business off of trust and true friendship, allowing Tele-Vac to continue that success still today. Al loved his motorcycles, owning multiple, building choppers and retiring as the Original Journeymen President. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, and later on traveling in his RV.

Al was a dedicated family man and a large support system for his family. Known to many as Al, Jim, James, Alley Cat, among others, he touched everyone’s lives in a special way, and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. The family of Al will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-Mason (400 Reading Rd.

, Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a funeral service to follow on Saturday, Octobe 27, 2018 beginning at 10:00 AM. A procession to Rose Hill Cemetery-Mason will follow the funeral ceremony.
