James’ Obituary James Bennett West, 76, of Indianola, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home. James was born July 7, 1942 in Crenshaw to Vaughn and Alice Jaco West. He was a farmer until his retirement.

James loved his family, he helped raise his brothers while his father was deployed during World War II. He loved having a good time, and he was always smiling. James was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Katherine Helton West.

He is survived by one son, Vaughn “Glenn” West and his wife Brandy of Indianola; four brothers, Larry West of Indianola, Charles West and his wife Brenda of Ruleville, Albert West and his wife Evelyn of Leland, and Kenny West and his wife Brenda of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Emily, Katey, and Jackson West all of Indianola. The family will receive friends Friday, May 3, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation.

Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.
