James’ Obituary James C. Garrett, 75, of Burnsville, MS, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at his residence. James was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving three tours from 1965-1969. He was in the Army 25th Infantry.

He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, and having cook outs and fish fries. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen, officiated by Bro. Bobby Christian.

Interment will follow in Allen Line Cemetery. Pallbearers will include James’ family. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne McCreary, William Spradley, Dewey Wade Marlar, Anthony Whirley, and Hick Miller.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Rhodes Garrett; his daughters, Sherrie Gautney (James), Jamie Garrett (Troy), and Machelle Booker (Richey); his son, Dallas Garrett (Jessica); his grandchildren, Justin Garrett (Monja), Dustin Garrett, Chasity Garrett, Brittany Green, Kara Booker, Alexis Gautney, Clayton Garrett, and Damon Garrett; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dallas and Noleen Harris Garrett; his sister, Ann Crabb; and his brothers, Aaron Garrett and Jerry Garrett. An online guestbook can be accessed at www. cutshallfuneralhome.com.
