James Davis Powell, 94, of Lucedale, MS, formerly of Senatobia, MS, passed away October 12, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Powell was a veteran having served in the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.O. and Ruby Powell and his grandson, Zachary Davis Powell.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Grace Powell; son, James D. Powell, Jr. of Jackson County, MS; daughter, Linda Suess of Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Misty Currie of Jackson County, MS; and great grandchildren, Nick Currie, Adi Appleby, Zander Appleby, A.J. Appleby, Ava Grace Montgomery and Maisie Rose Powell.
