OBITUARY James E. Pinkston November 22, 1947 – November 7, 2018 Play Tribute Movie James Pinkston, Born 11/22/47 in Carlisle, Ark, Graduated high school and immediately signed up with the US Army, serving 2 years 1967 to 69. He was an Elks Member for 23 years serving in many officer roles including 2 times Exaulted Ruler. Married his wife Dora Oct 17, 1970 who just celebrated 48 yrs.

James, owned a gas station/repair shop for several years before following his wife into the floral business. James and Dora Pinkston owned “Pink Carnation” where they raised both Mike and Christine as little helpers until they sold it in 2007. They sold their business, home and made the life changing move to Mesa, AZ to be closer to their daughter Christine and a much shorter driving distance to Las Vegas, NV where son Michael and daughter Diana lived.

James had been working retail since his move to Mesa and making time to help raise grandkids Miguel, Maria and Miquela. James, was a stubborn old man, who loved to laugh. He was witty, sarcastic but a jokester most of all.

If it had anything to do with his kids or grandkids he was there, without hesitation. Survived by Wife, Dora Pinkston of San Tan Valley, AZ, Son Michael Pinkston (Reyna) of Las Vegas, NV Daughter Christine Salas (Salvador) of San Tan Valley, AZ, Daughter Diana Albiston of Las Vegas, NV Grandchildren, Miquela Salas, of San Tan Valley, AZ, Brittany Eicks (Nick) of Las Vegas, NV, Miguelangelo Salas of San Tan Valley, AZ, Marialysa Salas of Santa Fe, NM, Isani Cruz of Las Vegas, NV, Dear friend Ralph Martinez of Las Vegas, NM, Proceeded in death by father and mother- Leon and Sylvia Pinkston, brother David Pinkston, sister’s Verna O’Conner and Jeribeth Pinkston, and granddaughter Victorialyne Salas Friends may call 10:00 AM, Monday, November 12, 2018, at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206, where services will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, Arizona.
