Obituary for James Edgar Small James Edgar Small, 86 year old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died on December 24, 2018 at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Jay, Oklahoma to James Elmer Small and Almo Marie Gunnels. James married Shirley Clem on September 5, 1956 in Orosi, California.

He lived most of his life in Northeast Oklahoma. James was a field foreman with Razorback Farms for many years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Leroy Small, and granddaughter, Sydney Small. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Small of the home; six children, Cindy Parret of Lowell, Arkansas, Linda Dirck of Gravette, Arkansas, Jimmy Small of Plainfield, Wisconsin, Patricia Small of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Esther Tankersley of Lowell, Arkansas, and Mary Keaton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Russell Small of Ozark Beach, Missouri, and Doyle Dean Small of Yuma, Arizona; sister, Marie Small of Colcord, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, Arkansas.
