James’ Obituary James “Jimmy” Edward Merson was born January 17, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia to Robert and Catherine (Conner) Merson. He entered the Lord’s presence on December 26, 2018 in Hopkins, MN at the age of 64. Jimmy married Deann Reynolds on December 13, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, MN.

Jimmy loved working as a commercial fisherman and working construction in Key West, Florida. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and reading books on history. He is a post member of VFW Auxiliary 425 Hopkins Post.

He is survived by wife, Deann; sisters, Shirley (Tommy) McArthur and Judy (Tommy) Johnson; nephews, Jeremy Merson, Peter Merson and Jerry McArthur; nieces, Katy Olson, Stephanie Frank and Ann Jobe; many great-nieces and great-nephews; father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Doris Anfinson; brother-in-law, Dan (Mary) Anfinson; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Catherine Merson and brother, Robert Merson. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 5972 70thAvenue, Princeton, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be in Key West, Florida.
