Services for James Flanders Williamson, age 86, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2018, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. . Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Craig Williamson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Williamson died Thursday, December 13, 2018. Mr. Williamson attended Liberty Baptist Church. He was a retired law enforcement officer serving with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and the Dublin Police Department.

Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, John F. & Evie Couey Williamson; brothers, Farrell Williamson, Foy Williamson, Murriel Williamson; and sister, Oretha Dominy. Survivors include his sons, James (Liz) Williamson, of Dublin, Don (Michele) Williamson, of Dublin, John David (Mary Beth) Williamson, of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Elisabeth (Jonathan) Akly, Anna Williamson, Abbie Williamson, Blake (Kelli) Williamson, Logan Williamson, and Elijah Huerta; and great grandchild, Gamble Williamson. Members of the local law enforcement will serve as honorary pallbearers.
