James Freeman Harrell, 80, of Livingston, Montana died Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the Livingston HealthCare Hospital after a long illness. James was born in White Oak, Georgia to parents, George Highsmith and Louise (Freeman) Harrell. James spent his career serving in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve.

He served many years until he retired as a Yeoman Chief Petty Officer in September 1974. James would later move to Livingston, Montana where he enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting, and telling stories with his friends. James is survived by two sons, Michael (Marie-France) and Gregory (Jay), along with four grandchildren, Allyssa, Brant (Marla), Collin, and Danikka; four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Hunter, Corrina, and Theo; a sister, Cindy as well as nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
