James G. Goetsch, age 56, of Sheboygan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Jim was born in Sheboygan on April 9, 1962 to the late Glenn and Carol (Rohde) Goetsch. He attended local schools and graduated from North High School in 1981.

He was employed at Schu Industries. Jim enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing with close friends being his favorite pastime.

He will be deeply missed. Jim is survived by two sisters, Vicki (Richard) Martens of Sheboygan and Bonnie (Stephen) Meyer of Belgium and nieces and nephews, Joshua (Michelle) Meyer, Jason (Fiancé Nikki) Meyer, Matthew Meyer, Krista Martens and Stephanie Goetsch. Other friends and family further survive.

Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Goetsch. A Memorial Service for Jim will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan, with Rev. DuWayne Hanke officiating.

Family will greet visitors on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jim’s name. The family would like to personally thank both Dr. Steven Bettag and Dr. Marshall Matthews for their care of Jim throughout the years.

They would also like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton for their excellent care and compassion shown.
