Obituary for James LaBarba James LaBarba passed away on April 25, 2018. James was a loving friend, brother and father. James LaBarba was born on March 3, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jerry LaBarba and Shirley Richardson.

His close bond to his siblings Alice LaBarba, Billy, Jack & Lynn Richardson, Annette & Charley Westerkom was special and cherished. A proud uncle to Bailey & Chandler Westerkom, Mary Elizabeth, Amanda Laurie, Ashley & Adam. A caring stepson to Cheryl LaBarba and dear friend to Karen LaBarba.

James leaves behind his beloved grandmother, Lorraine Fields and a multitude of extended family to treasure his memory. He was an adoring father to Kristen and Alexis. His most cherished role in life was being a dad.

James loved his daughters with all of his heart and lived his life for them. He never missed a moment to express his pride and love for his girls. He held his friendships close to his heart, in fact he considered them to be life long bonds.

He leaves behind a countless amount of memories with his friends : Harold, Tammy, Shannon, Shaun, Mary Lou, Jerry, John, Tony, Roger, Kevin and many, many more. James closest friend was his father, Jerry LaBarba. He left this world to be with him.

In fact, they are probably riding their Harley Davidson Motorcycles in Heaven as you read this. James would want the people left behind to smile. He would want us to laugh, love, and care for each other as he watches from above.

A grave side service will take place at Woodlawn Funeral & Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX. 77055 on Saturday, May 12 at 11 AM. Followed by a reception at a private home.

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for an outdoor setting. Maps will be provided. Flowers can be delivered directly to Woodlawn Funeral & Cemetery a day prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to honor James precious memory a contribution to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
