James G.F. Cordle, age 88, passed away on November 10, 2018. Jim was a 1948 graduate of Columbus South High School and retired from Nationwide Life Insurance. He was preceded in death by parents, Gomeza Cordle and Opal (Lawrence) Overdier; sisters, Norma Jean Langbein, Camilla Harper, Mary Jo Dandrea, Laura Mae Galilei, and brother-in-law, Tony Galilei.

Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn (Baker) Cordle; children, Cathy (Michael) Cavanaugh, Mark (Susan) Cordle, Leslie (John) Brodnik, and Dean Cordle; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren who held a special place in his heart; sisters, Claire (Will) Eva and Patricia (William) Smith; brother-in-law, Louie Dandrea; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio with Will Eva officiating.

Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (www. alz.org).
