James (“Goat”)’s Obituary JAMES EDWARD (“GOAT”) GUSLER, 65, of the Hollybrook community of Bland County passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home. He was born July 11, 1953 in Bland, VA, the son of the late William Buford & Audra Farlow Gusler. “Goat” was well liked by those who knew him.

He worked for many years as a milk delivery driver and also worked as a laborer at local saw mills. He was most happy when he was outdoors. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Gusler and a sister, Lucille Wright.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters, Kermit Gusler, Hollybrook, Sarah Curry, Abingdon, Lewis Gusler, Atlanta, GA, Joanna & Mike Havens, Hollybrook and Rita & Brian Moore, Snowville; his faithful companion, his dog, “Romper”; numerous nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, he has been cremated and there are no services planned at this time. The Gusler family is in the care of A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, avestandsons.com, (540) 921-2985.
