James Hulsizer, age 59, rode into Harley heaven with the wind blowing in his face on Sunday, April 8, 2018. He fought until the end, in true warrior fashion, against metastatic melanoma and was surrounded by his family at his home in Galloway Township. Born at Margaret Hague Hospital, Jersey City, New Jersey, on March 28, 1959, he attended grade school in Passaic, New Jersey and college in Boston, Massachusetts.

As a firm believer in positive employee relations, James left the union movement and joined the management team at Trump Taj Mahal – with one of his first assignments being the education of non-union workers on the effects of unionization. In 2003, he and a partner formed the labor relations firm of Kulture Consulting, LLC, where he continued to work up to the time of his passing.
James’ passions included riding his Harley, smoking cigars, striper fishing, visiting Cypress Woods, and playing the drums. He was a member of the Aruba Chapter Harley Owners Group, Niners Motorcycle Club, and Patriot Guard Rider. He checked off riding “the Dragon” at Deals Gap from his bucket list on multiple occasions.
James was an absolute patriot and considered himself an unapologetic conservative, Second Amendment supporter, and part of the silent majority, “Sidelines Strong”. He is predeceased by father, Francis Hulsizer, and sister, April Hulsizer Lawrimore. He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara (DeFeo) Hulsizer; step daughter, Kati (DiNatale) Mangione, and son-in-law, Anthony Mangione; grandson, Enzo Nicholas Mangione, and soon to be born grandson, Anthony James Mangione; mother, Beverly Postel; step Son, Jimmy, and his 3 children; mother and father-in-law, Bonnie and Lou DeFeo; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Dan LaRotonda; brother-in-law, Lou DeFeo; nephew, Joey LaRotonda, wife, Bobbi and great nephew RJ; nephew, Nick LaRotonda; and niece, Danielle LaRotonda.
James is also survived by his adopted family; father, James Minneo, mother, Carrie Minneo (deceased), 12 brothers and sisters, and numerous nephews and nieces. Memorial service to be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 9:00am with a mass immediately following at 10:00am. Burial is private.
