Obituary for James “Jim” R. Lawson LAWSON, James “Jim” R., 73 passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Jim was a retired carpenter for the University of Louisville, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister and two brothers. Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife, Wanda Sue Lawson; daughter, Stephanie Basham (Rick); sons, Rick Lawson (Donna), and Matthew Lawson (Robin); 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and sisters, Debbie Little (Mike), Patti Fields (Charlie), and Fran Johnson (Chuck). His funeral service will be held 12 pm Friday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens – West.
