Obituary for Mary Celestine Herndon HERNDON (Travers), Mary Celestine, 86, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was a member of the Young at Hearts Club, St. Paul Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and a proud graduate of the 1950 class of Mercy Academy. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Herndon and daughter, Julie Donahue.

She is survived by her loving children, Celeste Nall (Jeff), Teresa Carr (Glenn), Gene Herndon Jr. (Patty), Kenny Herndon (Nancy) and Kathy McGuire (Hobert); 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. Her celebration of life Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7500 St. Paul Church Rd. with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Hosparus.
