Obituary for Karen Herbert Silver Karen H. Silver, 77, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was born August 11, 1941 in Fairmont, WV a daughter to the late Raleigh and Nellie (Petit) Herbert and was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Thomas I. Silver and siblings, Raleigh (Jack) Herbert, Nancy Baum, Patricia Rediger and Alfred and David Herbert.

Karen is survived by her son, Thomas; grandchildren, Zachary Thomas and Kathryn Grace Silver and siblings, Dick (Jean) Herbert, Sally Vilbig, Martha Vickory and Garry Herbert. Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews” with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. In keeping with Karen’s wishes, please direct memorial contributions to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
