James L. “Jamie” Fuget, 55, of New London, MO passed away at 9:30 AM Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 13, 2013 at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Rev.

Jamie was born August 7, 1962, in Hannibal, MO to James David and Sharon Norlene Lambert Fuget. Survivors include three children, Amanda Janes (Joseph) of Hannibal, MO, James Fuget of Hannibal, MO, and Justin Fuget of New London, MO; four brothers, David Fuget of Auxvasse, MO, Wes Fuget (Melissa) of Vandalia, MO, Jeff Fuget (Opal) of Louisiana, MO, and Scott Fuget (Nikki) of Clarence, MO; one sister, Kim Fuget of Hannibal, MO; five grandchildren, Makayla Davis, Cayden Davis, Bentley Davis, Jayce Janes, James Fuget, Jonathon Fuget, Preston Fuget, and Aleecia Fuget. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Cindy Wisdom, his grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Jamie was engaged to Debbie Selmon. She survives.

Professionally, Jamie was a truck driver for Cardwell Lumber Co. Jamie enjoyed hunting deer and fishing. A sports fan, Jamie liked the Pittsburgh Steeler’s football and the St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball teams as well as tuning in to NASCAR, where he often hoped Tony Stewart would win the race. Jamie liked listening to the sounds of George Jones, Waylon Jennings, ZZ Top, and Johnny Cash.

He was a Christian by faith. Pallbearers will be Bucky Lybarger, Eddie Lynn, Benji Henderson, Charlie Shearon, Ron Tracy, and Jesse DeKamp. Honorary pallbearers will be Rowdy Britt, Jeffrey Fuget, Jeff Fuget, Kenny Peiter, Wes Fuget, Dave Fuget, Scott Fuget, and Joseph Janes.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fuget Grandchildren, checks payable to Amanda Janes.
