James Lester Fullbright, 86, husband of Linda Ann Curry Fullbright of 1646 Broadway School Rd. , died Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his residence. Born in Belton, SC, he was the son of the late Samuel Cecil and Dorothy Saylors Fullbright.

He served in the US Air Force in Korea and with the Merchant Marines where he was a Purser aboard the SS Lurline for 5 years. He retired after 24 years of service with Marathon Oil Company. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: brother, Larry C. Fullbright of Belton.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Fullbright Smith. A celebration of life will be held 11am Saturday at Dorchester Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Allen officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am until 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to Dorchester Baptist Church. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
