Obituary for James Lewis Print James Angus Lewis, 81, a resident of Lumberton, TX passed from this life on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in a Sulphur care facility. “Big Daddy” as he was affectionately known was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. James will be remembered as one of the last good guys.

He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was faithful to him until his death. He was a loving, caring, and compassionate man who never met a stranger and had a laugh that was bigger than life itself. He served with honor in the United States Air Force and retired as a Market Manager for Market Basket.

James is predeceased by his parents; James Bruza and Clara Izora Butler; wife, Juanita Joyce Lewis, son, Richard Lewis, and daughter Alisa Renee Moffett. Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory his children, Toni Lynn Petrofes, Lee Denham, Ray Denham, Joel Denham and wife Alana, Robin Collins and husband Red, and Kathy Clayton; grandchildren, Ashton, McKenzie, Kimberly, Kara, Katy, Lauren Renee and husband Derek, Rachel, Tristian, Gavin, Colby, Daniel, Amber, Dustin, Alex and Angela; several great grandchildren; his sisters, Clara Frisby, Mary Englebrecht, and Bettie Jordan, a host of nieces and nephews, and the many friends he made along his journey. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery in White Wright, TX.
