James “Matt” Kicklighter July 30, 1973 – January 26, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook James Mathew “Matt” Kicklighter, Jr. Rincon- James Mathew “Matt” Kicklighter, Jr., 45, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Daytona Beach, FL. The Effingham County native was a truck driver with the McGraley Company. Matt’s life passion was firefighting, having been a fireman with the Springfield Fire Department and the Effingham Fire Department.

He was a wonderful father and loving “Pops”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim “Button” & Mary Kicklighter. He is survived by his daughters, Keri Ortiz (Thomas), Amber Scarborough, Kristen Dehoff (Stuart); best friend and former wife, Nikki Kicklighter; two grandchildren, Walker Doyle and Daniel Dehoff; sister, Sheri Hodge; brother, Jon Kicklighter; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and his Fire Dept.

family and friends. Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday, January 31, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Springfield. Funeral: 12 noon, Friday, February 1, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
