James’ Obituary James Maxwell Smith, 94, of Burkburnett passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Brookhaven Community Center in Burkburnett. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

James was born on September 9, 1924 in Allouta, Georgia to the late William Logan and Gladys Julia (Bingham) Smith. He married Mary Lou Thompson on April 24, 1944. James spent many hears as Head Inspector for a machine factory in Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou; and children Jim, Jeff, and Joni. James is survived by ten children, Jason Smith, Sue, Julia, Jane, John, Michael, Ellie, Anne, Judy, and Kevin; forty two grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
