Obituary for James P. McKenna James P. McKenna, age 77, of Faribault, MN, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN following an extended illness. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Shieldsville, MN.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. James Patrick was born on April 23, 1940 in Faribault to James and Ruth (Norris) McKenna. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1958.

James worked as a taxi driver in Faribault for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and attending car shows. He is survived by children, Debbie Walters of Prior Lake, MN, Mark (Karlene) McKenna of Faribault, Matt McKenna of Faribault, and Mike (Judy) McKenna of Faribault; their mother, June Hanson Simonette of Faribault; grandchildren, Jeremy McKenna, Trina (Jerry) Murphy, Branden McKenna, Nicole Kaderlik, Kaleigh Walters, Ashley Walters, and Amber Boettcher; great grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, Lucas, and Wyatt Murphy, Riley and Lilyanna Kaderlik, Landon and Mason Boettcher and Harper Chesney; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth; and sisters, Susan McKenna, and Mary (Roger) Friesen. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of James P. McKenna please visit our Sympathy Store.
