Obituary for James P Williams James P. Williams, 89, of North Tonawanda, Saturday,(April 21, 2018). Mr. Williams was born in Washington, DC, on April 18, 1929 to Lawrence and Lillian (McCaulay) Williams. James was a WWII Army Veteran,after serving 30 years, between active duty and the NYS National Guard, former member of Ascension R.C. Church, past president of Holy Name Society and usher at Ascension, member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish, social member of Active Hose #2, member of the Local #9 Iron workers Union, for 30 years, Jim spent many years coaching and then volunteering for the North Tonawanda National Little League,they honored him with the “Jim Williams Field” and also was a member of the Nor Ton Red Jacket Club.

James is survived by his wife Irene (ton) Williams, Father of Brian (Tracy Brogowski), Dennis (Andrea), Christopher (Jennifer) Williams, Cheryl Lewis, and Colleen (Brian) Hoover, brother of Ruth (Dan) John, and the late Frank (Reva) Williams, grandfather of Dawn Lewis, Brittany Hoover, Elisabeth and Antoinette Williams, Mark Roehling. Great Grandfather of Matthew and Zoe Lewis, also surviving are several nieces and nephews Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Dr. North Tonawanda. Mass of christian burial will be held Friday at 10 AM from St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd.
