OBITUARY James R. Dixon January 30, 1952 – January 19, 2019 Dixon, James R., age 66, of Leeds, AL, passed away January 19, 2019. He served several years with the Washington County Sherriff’s Office and retired from the Shelby County Sherriff’s Office. He was a graduate East Tennessee State.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Dixon; daughters, Samantha Whisonant (Jarret) and Christy Parker; step-mom, Grethel Dixon; sisters, Paula Reynolds and Denise Hobbs; and 3 grandchildren.
