Obituary for James R McCutcheon James McCutcheon Murrells Inlet James (Jimmy) McCutcheon, age 75, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his residence. Born in Darlington, SC, Jimmy was a son of the late Jesse and Opal McCutcheon. Jimmy ran his business, McCutcheon Construction, from 1965-2008.

Upon retirement, he and Carol moved to Murrells Inlet where they enjoyed their days fishing for flounder. He was a loving, devoted family man and loved the Lord. He served as a deacon at Central Baptist Church in Darlington, SC.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth McCutcheon. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Carol McCutcheon; daughters, Betsy McCutcheon and Kathy Karavan (Mark); grandchildren, Mark Karavan Jr. and Kohler Karavan; brother, Harry McCutcheon (Phyllis) and two nieces. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 1624 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
