Obituary for James ‘Sam” Campbell Montgomery James “Sam” Campbell Montgomery, 83, passed away Wednesday October 24, 2018. He was born September 20, 1935 in Danville, a son of the late Thompson and Evelyn Wilkerson Montgomery. James was a self-employed concrete finisher for nearly 60 years.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy, Karon, Patty Montgomery, Sharon Goodlett, grandchildren, Terry and Brian Montgomery, Jason Perry, Jessica Laux, Adam Janes, Heather Goodlett, five great-grandchildren, brother Kenneth Montgomery, and companion for many years, Elizabeth West, along with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday October 27, 2018 at Parksville Cemetery with Monty (Monk) and WC Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m., (noon) – 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Walden Funeral Home Perryville.

Pallbearers will be Brian, Terry, and Randy Montgomery, Walter, Simon, and Chris Gilpin. Honorary bearers are Dan and Troy Montgomery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of James ‘Sam” Campbell Montgomery please visit our Sympathy Store.
