James Thomas (Tommy) Baker December 17, 1932 – May 20, 2019 Funeral services for James Thomas (Tommy) Baker will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews will officiate.

Interment will follow the service at Oakes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague. Mr. Baker passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck.

He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Oakes Baker; two daughters, Sheree Wood & husband Charles, and Teresa Russell all of Buffalo; seven grandchildren, Katie Russell, Ashley May & husband Steven, Jay Russell, Matthew Wood, Angela Russell & husband Cody, Daniel Wood & wife Morgan; and Nathan Wood; six great-grandchildren (and one on the way); numerous other relatives and friends and his beloved in-laws, the Oakes family. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. J. F. & Evelyn Baker; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommie & Hazel Oakes; and one son-in-law, Kelly Russell. The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 791, Teague, TX 75860.
