Obituary for James Winston “Jim” Bowles James Winston “Jim” Bowles, 81, of Wenatchee, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Central Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born on August 7, 1937 at Blaine, Washington to the late Winston Lee and Loa Siggaard (Finnson) Bowles. He was raised in the Blaine and Everett areas and graduated from the Everett High School in 1955.

He continued his education attending at Everett Community College. He met and was married his friend from the seventh grade on, Barbara Anne Hensley on August 24, 1956 in Everrett, Washington. Jim entered the U.S. Navy Reserves while in high school and served for eight years.

He received valuable training in the Submarine Program. He entered an Apprenticeship Program as an Electrician with the Scott Paper Company. He worked for Scott Paper Company in Everett for nearly 40 years He then went to work Hanford Nuclear Reservation during spring and preformed electrical maintanence.

He completely retired in 1992and they moved to Leavenworth in 1996. They moved to make their home in Wenatchee in 2010. He was a former member of Our Lady of Snows in Leavenworth and St. Francis of Xavier in Cashmere.

He is a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wenatchee. He enjoyed family camping time, golfing cross country skiing , snowshoeing and his yard was always perfect. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Anne Bowles, Wenatchee; one daughter and son-in-law, Anne & Stephen McCutchan, Kirkland, WA; one son and daughter-in-law, Bradley “Brad” & Toni Ingles-Bowles, Bellingham, WA; a sister, Doris Wunschel, Everett, WA; a brother and sister-in-law, William “Bill” & Claudia Bowles, Lake Stevens, WA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and their infant daughter, Susan Renee Bowles on May 10, 1959. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated in his honor at a later date. A Family Graveside Inurnment will be held in the Cashmere Cemetery.
