Obituary of James Brower William James Brower, age 77, of Asheboro went home to be in the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Mr. Brower was born in Guilford County, NC on October 14, 1941 to William Curtis and Clara Stutts Brower. He was former co-owner of Town and Country Home Improvement with his father-in-law Ted Dennis and was currently employed with Sapona Manufacturing.

James was a member of Shadow of the Cross Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. James loved his wife, his children, and his church family. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Dale Brower.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and cards, and especially to the Shadow of the Cross Baptist Church and Cornerstone Church of Seagrove for their love and concern. He is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Donnie Jean Dennis Brower; daughter, Angela Brower Whitman and husband David of Asheboro; sons, William Theodore “Teddy” Brower and wife Gina of Asheboro and John Paul Brower of the home; 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters, Lois Small and husband Buck of Asheboro and Hilda May and husband Pete of Ramseur; and brother, Henry Brower of Orlando, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Mead officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
