Obituary for Jane Gayle Johnson Fountain Nelson Jane Gayle Johnson Fountain Nelson, 72, of Muscle Shoals passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Keller Hospital. Visitation will be Monday, September 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison’s Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ronny Poag officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. She was a native of Sheffield and was retired from the Sheffield City Clerk’s office. Jane was preceded in death by husbands, Foster F. Fountain, Jr. and Earl A. Nelson, Jr. and parents, G. C. Johnson and Jane Poag Johnson.

She is survived by brother, Grover Johnson (Karen) and sister, Linda J. Crow (Frankie); step-children, Foster F. Fountain III (Mary), Rusty F. Tate (Ed), Alex Nelson (Sandi), Mark Nelson (Kim), Elizabeth Nelson Starnes (Jim), and Penny Nelson Joiner (Dr. A. E.); numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of close personal friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sheffield Public Library, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
