Janet C. Milam, 84, of Alum Creek, WV went to her Heavenly home on March 21, 2019 due to a long illness. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Milam; father Wendell White; mother Ruth White; and brother’s Gary, Delmar “Jerry”, and Gutherie White. She was a member of the Independent Missionary Baptist Church of Alum Creek.

Janet was a retired surgical nurse, loved to quilt, sew, and Saturday night card night. Janet is survived by brother, Larry (Helen) White of Julian, WV and nephew, Larry Lee White of Alexandria, VA; niece, Jessica (Erik) Waagner and grandnephew, Aiden Waagner of Lopatcong, NJ; niece, Shelia White of Foster, WV and grandnephews, Mark and Ryan Foster of Kindallville, IN; step daughter, Barbara Nichols of Parkersburg, WV; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Corina Branham and former church friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Kanawha Hospice, Melanie Martin and Libby Smith.

You ladies were a blessing to us. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Memory Gardens, Madison with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Kanawha Hospice or a charity of your choice.
