BOX 106 STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS 76401 254 965 3161 254 965 2699 FAX Janet Eva Kropat April 15, 1933 ~ December 21, 2018 Janet Eva Kropat, 85, of Dublin formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully Friday, December 21, 2018, at Oakwood Assisted Living. Services will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, December 28, 2018, at Fredericksburg Funeral Home, 2278 South Highway 87, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624, with Pastor Mike Fritscher officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Texas, following services.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas. Janet was born in Queens, New York, on April 15, 1933, to Robert and Annie (Oversby) Baney. She married Hans (Gary) Kropat on September 8, 1951, in Old Forge, New York.

He preceded her in death on August 28, 1986. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Ferrill and husband James, of Spring, TX; son, Gary Kropat and wife, Hope, of Hutto, TX; son, Glenn Kropat of Fredericksburg, TX; daughter, Lisa (Kropat) Weber and husband, Michael, of Dublin, TX; son, Greg Kropat and wife, Janyne, of Sharpsburg, GA; daughter, Debbie (Kropat) Sanchez and husband, Domingo, of Fredericksburg, TX; and daughter Jeanie (Kropat) Warrington of Fredericksburg, TX; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Baney, sister Dorothy (Jean) Koehler, mother-in-law Anne Kropat, father-in-law Arthur Kropat, and grandson, U.S. Army PFC Jason Kropat.

She was a believer of Jesus Christ, a valued homemaker, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) Ham radio operator, loving mother, beloved grandmother, and cherished friend.
