Janet “Jan” Irvin (McNair), passed away on January 20, 2019 surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness. Jan was a life-long passionate Cleveland Indians fan, Dixieland jazz enthusiast and avid reader. She lived in and around Akron her entire life, graduating from East High School and the St. Thomas School of Nursing, then worked as a Geriatric Nurse at local nursing homes for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Irvin and Angus McNair, Jr. Jan is survived by her daughters, Sandra Gioia, Bonnie (Scott) McNair-Tiffany; sons, Robert (Jeri) McNair, Bill (Karen) Irvin, Jim Irvin; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two grand dogs. Per Mom’s wishes, cremation has already taken place and there will be no memorial service. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
