OBITUARY Janet Patricia Wood May 12, 1966 – December 29, 2018 Janet Patricia Wood, a native of Lewes, Delaware and resident of Prairieville, LA passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 52. Janet loved her 3 girls and her 2 grandchildren with all her heart, she enjoyed watching movies. Her biggest passion was rescuing and loving all animals.

She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She is preceded in death by her father, John N. Walker and her beloved dogs Daisey, Crystal, Tara and Lucy. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Gordon Wood, Jr.; mother, Bessie Mae Walker; daughters, Leann (Nitty) Johns (Christopher); Alexandria (Cookie Girl) Norton (Shane), Melissa (Baby Bean) Wood, sister, Donna M. Trego of Dagsboro, DE (Paul); grandchildren, Scarlett (Letty) Norton, Braxton (Brax) Gautreau; nephews, Matthew Buda, Zachariah Marvin; niece, Heather Buda and sister in law, Lisa Marvin (Doug).

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Ourso Funeral Home from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to Cara’s House Animal Shelter located in Sorrento, LA or visit www.
