Janet Sizemore June 15, 1937 – May 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Janet Sizemore, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends, at Hancock Regional Hospice in Greenfield Indiana. She had been a resident at Morristown Manor for 3 years. Janet was born on June 15th 1937 in Rushville Indiana to her parents Ophir and Esther Gwinnup.

In her youth Janet loved to play sports and especially softball. She was always picked for teams first because she could run like a deer. Janet was musical as well and could sing like an angel and even played piano.

She enjoyed her family, God, and she loved to laugh. Janet married Robert Buck Jr on December 7, 1956 in Arlington Indiana. The marriage was performed by “Bob’s” dad Robert Buck Sr. minister at Arlington Baptist church.

Janet spent the next 20 years as housewife and mother to their 3 children, Mark, Scott, and Tracy. As Bob’s wife, Janet was a military spouse in the 1960s for 9 years. Janet and Bob divorced in 1978 but the family all remained close over the years.

In 1987, Janet met Everett Sizemore and they married on November 13, 1987. They spent 21 happy years together before Everett passed away in 2008. Janet worked as a receptionist at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville Indiana for 13 years before retiring in 2002.

Janet is survived by her daughter Tracy (Chris) Jennings of Greenfield, Indiana, son Scott Buck of Wilson, North Carolina, son Mark (Terri) Buck of Griffin Georgia, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren; three step children, Nancy (Rob) Stevens, Ricky (Dawn) Sizemore and Robert (Mary) Sizemore. Along with her parents and husband, Everett she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Buck Jr; a brother, Eugene Gwinnup; a niece, Nancy Carter; a step daughter, Vicky Sizemore; a step son, Chad Sizemore and a brother in law, Bonnie Sizemore. Visitation for Janet will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 3:00pm at Urban Winker Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St. Connersville, Indiana 47331.

The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
