Janice L. Palardy, 70, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Toledo Hospital. She was born September 1, 1947 in Hartford, CT the daughter of Roland and Anne Shirley (Mason) Gauvin. She married Thomas Palardy, Sr. on April 20, 1968 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1999.

Janice was a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at UCONN Medical Center in Farmington, CT and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo retiring in 1999. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking and writing letters. She had dozens of pen pals around the world.

She loved being with her constant companions: Koko-deceased, Tank and Schnitzel. Surviving are her children: Thomas (Monique) Palardy, Jr. of Wolcott, CT, Kristen (Tim) Cutcher of Marblehead, Keri Grimm of Port Clinton and Timothy (Tiara) Palardy of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Michael Najarian, Cpl. Cody James, Cpl.

Chaz (Brandy) James, Ashley (Aaron) Pratt, Tim Cutcher, III, Lcpl. Scott Grimm, Maryssa Grimm, Thomas Cutcher, Cailee James, Morgan Grimm, Brenda Crowl, Matthew Grimm, Adrianna Cutcher, Eric Von Dwingelo; great-grandchildren: Adaliese, Anker, Kalib, Aria; siblings: Kenneth (Patricia) Gauvin of CT, Sharon Pelc of N.C., Gary Gauvin of CT, Luanne (Joseph) Viola of N.C.; sister-in-law: Jean (Edward) Lewandowski of CT and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson: Micah James.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Friday, April 27, 2018 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Rev. Harry Hunt will be officiating.

Private interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
