Jay Alan Autry, 59, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Jay worked at Gander Mountain for many years and was a hard worker. He was kind, thoughtful and unassuming.

Jay was a great baker, especially cakes. His carrot cake was amazing and everyone fought over the leftovers any where it was taken. Jay was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved Nascar.

Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers, Robert Kent Autry and wife, Pat of Charlotte and Richard Sutton Autry of Fayetteville; his sister, Virginia “Missy” Best and husband, Frank of Goldsboro; a nephew and several nieces, an uncle and aunts. Jay passed away only a few hours prior to his mother, Nancy Autry passing away the next morning. He left us unexpectedly and he will be sorely missed.

A memorial service for Jay and his mother, Nancy will be held at 2 pm Sunday April 22, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating.
